Utility

A bond for protocols. A share of fees for stakers.

Stake to place prongs

A protocol must stake $BZL before it can place prongs on any vault. The stake is its bond.

Slashing

If a prong executes without valid proof of its trigger, the placing protocol's stake is slashed.

Fee share

Protocols pay a prong fee of 0.05% of pledged notional per 30 days. 30% of it goes to $BZL stakers.

Fee split

Every prong fee, split 50 / 30 / 20.

Prong fee: 0.05% of pledged notional per 30 days, paid by the protocol placing the prong.

Treasury

  • Buyback & burn: Bought back on the open market and burned. Reduces supply.
  • $BZL stakers: Distributed to $BZL stakers.
  • Treasury: Held by the treasury for development and operations.

Buyback & burn

Half of every fee leaves supply.

Prong fees accrue as protocols keep prongs open. Half of them are used to buy $BZL on the market.

The purchased $BZL is burned. It is removed from supply permanently.

Burn volume follows prong activity: more notional pledged, for longer, means more fees and more burned. Nothing here is a forecast or a promise of value.
